The Communist Collective of Lexington, Kentucky earnestly supports the Call for a Conference of North American Marxist Leninists. We see that revolutionary struggles are being fought throughout the world. At the same time, the imperialists are mercilessly attempting to crush such struggles. The U.S. monopoly capitalist class is the most aggressive, most violent the world has ever seen. The disunity of U.S. revolutionaries can only set back the world-wide struggle to defeat the monopoly capitalist class and build socialism.

We believe that only through a party based in the poorest, most exploited members of the working class and led by the most advanced revolutionary fighters, will this struggle succeed. Only such a party of a new type will have the resources and discipline to battle the forces of revisionism and opportunism which in collusion with the Imperialists continue to deny the forces of socialist revolution in the world.

As a step toward the building of this party, we welcome the chance to meet with other Marxist-Leninists in a democratic conference to present lines and learn from each other. Guided by Marxist-Leninism-Mao TseTung Thought we resolve to struggle for unity around the correct line for building a true revolutionary working class party in this country.
